Stevie Wonder to release live Blu-ray Disc

stevie_wonder_live_at_lastStevie Wonder will release his first live concert on Blu-ray Disc as well as standard DVD next month. Entitled “Live At Last,” the disc will showcase footage from 2 nights at London’s 02 Arena on September 30 and October 1 of last year. Each night packed 15,000 fans, who saw Wonder on his first word tour in over a decade.

The concert will include 27 hits from Wonder’s extensive history including “Knocks Me Off My Feet,” “People Make The World Go Round,” “Higher Ground,” and “You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.” A UK medley will also feature songs from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.

This will be Stevie Wonder’s first authorized DVD release and first high-definition Blu-ray Disc. The Blu-ray disc audio will be formated in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1/Dolby Digital 5.1. Video will be presented in 16:9 widescreen format. The release will include a 12 page booklet.

“Live At Last” will reach UK stores on March 9, and US stores on March 10, 2009.
