Time Warner Cable in San Antonio is adding HD Olympic games coverage to their lineup. Customers who live in the area will be able to get 4 new HD channels that will cover the 2008 games in Beijing. The company says it will offer over 800 hours of Olympics HD coverage.
The new HD channels include USA HD (digital channel 131), CNBC HD+ (137), NBC Olympic Basketball (102) and NBC Olympic Soccer (103). Customers must have an HD enabled set-top box and HDTV in order to see the high-definition programming.
Time Warner is also providing HD VOD (Video-On-Demand) Olympics coverage from Aug. 9 through the Aug. 31. The cable television provider is offering a free preview of Universal HD (channel 164) for the duration of the Olympic Games.
