Residents of Stow, Massachusetts will have another high-definition choice as Verizon FiOS is approved for the area. The Board of Selectmen in Stow, granted a cable franchise to Verizon last Tuesday. FiOS will offer hundreds of channels including 30+ HD (high-definition) channels to customers.
Verizon, which delivers FiOS via fiber-optic lines, currently offers the service to 72 Massachusetts communities. Other locations served include New York, New Jersey, California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia.
