May 7th will bring a couple new HD (high-definition) channels to Star Choice subscribers in Canada. Encore Avenue HD (channel 273) and TLC HD (channel 272) will be available throughout the Month of May as free previews.
Encore Avenue HD broadcasts movies from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. This channel is available to Star Choice subscribers West of Ontario. TLC HD provides lifestyle programming with popular series that includes Miami Ink, What Not To Wear, Little People and Big World.
In addition to these HD offerings, Star Choice will launch Super Channel HD 1. which will premiere a new movie in high definition every night, 365 days a year. The “super” channel will also showcase popular series like The Closer and Broken Trail.
