The Xbox 360 Elite arrived on shelves yesterday, but have already been sold out. Amazon, who was taking pre-orders on the console starting last Thursday, claims it is in the Top 5 best-selling products in their gaming division. This news will keep Xbox ahead of Playstation 3 in the high-definition gaming race. Xbox is currently the second most sold gaming unit behind Nintendo’s (non hi-def)Wii system.
The premier Xbox 360 includes a massive 120GB hard drive, an HDMI port AND cable, premium black finish, one black wireless controller (only one?) and a black Xbox LIVE headset. The Xbox 360 Elite has enough space for a whole library of Xbox LIVE Arcade games as well as downloaded high-definition (HD) TV shows, movies, and music. The inclusion of an HDMI cable certainly makes up for only ONE wireless controller. (Additional controllers are available for around $50)
Also included in the Elite package is a subscription to Xbox LIVE Silver Membership, and a one month subscription to Xbox LIVE Gold Membership.
