It should have been expected. The new releases for HD DVD have slowed to a snail’s speed. I’ve read several postings and blogs from hi def addicts who bought their HD DVD players hoping for a slew of releases but it seems it was just smoke and mirrors. The rush to release plenty of movies on HD DVD in time for the holidays is now over, and so we’ll have a trickling down of new HD DVD discs until when? Next X-mas? Meanwhile, Blu-ray still pumping out titles.
According to what is shipping on Amazon, there are 6 Blu-ray releases to HD DVD’s 1 release. Universal Studio’s Hollywoodland holds up the fort, as Blu-ray releases some old, some classic, worth high definition titles.
