Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 has been released on Blu-ray and DVD today. The unconventional Friday release date (most DVDs and Blu-rays release on Tuesdays), follows 'Deathly Hallows Part 1' which released on a Friday last April.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 has hit the shelves in both DVD and Blu-ray disc formats. The first of the two-part finale to the Harry Potter franchise was directed by David Yates and stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. The movie can be purchased in several editions including three disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy, single-disc Blu-ray, single-disc DVD, and single-disc DVD with Dobby Bookend (see photo below).
It's a week dominated by animated films with Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles getting a full blown release in a four disc edition with Blu-ray, DVD, and digital copies. Cars, previously released on Blu-ray in '07 and as a Combo Pack with DVD in '09, is now available as a two-disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo (in Blu-ray packaging) with plenty of extras and deleted scenes.
