Star Trek: First Contact (1996) is getting re-released on 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray in a SteelBook case! The 2-disc/digital edition from Paramount arrives on September 8, 2026 and celebrates the film’s 30th Anniversary.
On 4k Blu-ray, the movie is presented in 4k (2160p) resolution with Dolby Vision and HDR10 High Dynamic Range. Audio is provided in Dolby TrueHD 7.1, which is an upgrade from the earlier Blu-ray editions mixed in Dolby TrueHD 5.1.
Previously released bonus features include filmmaker and text commentary on the 4k Blu-ray, and over 3 hours of legacy extras on the Blu-ray Disc. It should be noted the filmmaker audio commentaries were not previously listed on the previous 4k Blu-ray spec sheet, but are actually available on the 4k disc. See details below.
