If you’re a Fast & Furious fan or home theater enthusiast with a 4k setup here are three Ultra HD Blu-ray releases you should know about. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has put together a 17-disc Fast & Furious 8-Movie Collection on 4k Blu-ray with all eight franchise films presented in 2160p resolution with High Dynamic Range (HDR10) improvements to the color spectrum. The 8-movie collection also includes extended editions of four of those films (Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and The Fate of the Furious), and hours of bonus features such as deleted scenes, outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage, feature commentaries, and digital copies of each film redeemable with Movies Anywhere. Right now, Fast & Furious 8-Movie Collection on Ultra HD Blu-ray is priced $45.99 on Amazon (List: $99.99) and will release on Tuesday, June 11.
On the same day, Universal is also releasing individual 4k editions of Fast & Furious (2009) and Fast Five (2011) to Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time, each presented in 2160p with HDR10 for improved color and contrast. The 4k movies feature English DTS:X/DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 for immersive sound, and each 2-disc combo edition includes a 4k Blu-ray, Blu-ray and Digital Copy of the film that can be redeemed through Movies Anywhere. As of this posting, Fast & Furious is selling for $21.74 (List: $29.99) and Fast Five $17.99 (List: $29.99) on Amazon.
