Kenneth Branagh’s fantasy drama Cinderella (2015) has been remastered for release on Ultra HD Blu-ray. The film arrives June 25 in a Disney Multi-Screen Edition with Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and Digital Code to redeem with Movies Anywhere.
The film is presented at 2:39:1 widescreen aspect ratio in 2160p resolution with High Dynamic Range. The soundtrack has been upgraded to Dolby Atmos from DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 provided in the 2105 BD release. Audio is also provided in DVS 2.0 Dolby Digital, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 7.1 Dolby Digital Plus. And, subtitles are included in English SDH, Spanish, and French.
Bonus features are the same as the previously released Blu-ray edition and provided on the Blu-ray Disc in 1080p. The 2-disc, 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray edition of Cinderella has a list price of $39.99 (order for $29.96 at Amazon).
Along with the release of Cinderella (2015) to 4k Blu-ray, Disney is celebrating the upcoming 70th anniversary of the animated classic Cinderella (1950) with a Walt Disney Signature Collection Digital Edition on June 18 and Blu-ray Edition on June 25.
Along with hours of classic bonus material, the Anniversary Edition includes two all-new extras: “Try This Trivia on for Size” and “In Walt’s Words: Enhanced Edition” — a special edition of “Cinderella” featuring production details, original storyboards, archival photos, thumbnail sketches and transcripts throughout the feature film.
