The Batman 4k Film Collection SteelBook Packaging Has Been Revealed

batman-film-collection-4k-best-buy-steelbook-hr-1920Best Buy has finally revealed the artwork for the Batman 4k Film Collection in SteelBook packaging!

This collection includes Batman (1989), Batman Returns (1992), Batman Forever (1995), and Batman & Robin (1997) all of which have been newly remastered in 4k and feature upgraded Dolby Atmos soundtracks.

Given the disappointing cover art for the single edition Batman films releasing on June 4th to Ultra HD Blu-ray, the SteelBook editions didn’t have much to compete against. But the designers have exceeded expectations with a redesign of all the single titles as well as a beautiful metal case to contain them.

What’s more, it appears each movie slides into individual slots formed out of foam padding (see closeup above). With this, you can be sure the SteelBook cases don’t get scratched or banged-up upon shipping or while being stored.

Now, you should know this 4k collection is not releasing the same time as the singles. Sadly, collectors will have to wait until Sept. 17 to pick this SteelBook edition up.

It’s also worth noting the four Batman films from the eighties and nineties are also being released in a standard 4k Collection (pictured below) with a newly-designed slipcover that looks quite nice but simply bundles those sorry-looking single titles.

Both the standard Batman 4k Film Collection and SteelBook 4k Film Collection are selling for $89. You already know which collection we’ll be pre-ordering unless Amazon drastically reduces the price of the bundled edition (see updated pricing below).
