20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios have released the final trailer for Dark Phoenix starring Sophie Turner as X-Men member Jean Grey. The film releases to theaters in the US, including RealD 3D, IMAX and Dolby Cinemas, on June 7th, 2019.
Dark Phoenix was written, directed, and co-produced by Oscar-nominated Simon Kinberg (The Martian, Logan) based on the Marvel Comic book character first introduced in X-Men No. 1 (1963).
Along with Turner, the movie features a known cast of X-Men played by James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.
In Dark Phoenix, Jean Grey evolves into the iconic supervillain during a life-threatening rescue mission in outer space. As she battles her own personal demons, Jean threatens the X-Men family and the entire planet. Marvel calls the film a “culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies” as the X-Men face their worst enemy who happens to be a member of their own team.
