DIRECTV will air the NBA matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Clippers in 4K/HDR on Feb. 25 at 10:30 PM Eastern Time.
The broadcast differs from typical HD/SD NBA coverage, with limited cameras, less commercial breaks, and sometimes lack of announcer(s). But the quality of these 4k games is not to be missed, and can only be watched on 4k TVs with DIRECTV’s 4k service.
The game will air on DIRECTV LIVE4k (Ch. 106), the provider’s dedicated live UHD channel that is usually dark unless an event is happening.
DIRECTV has two other 4k channels to choose from in their lineup. The first is DTV4k (Ch. 104) with free TV shows such as Art Beats, Titans of the Ice Age, and Not Bad. And, their 4k On Demand channel called CINE4K (Ch. 105) offers recent titles such as White Boy Rick, Venom, The Equalizer 2, The Matrix, and Ready Player One.
DIRECTV will also air a couple English Premiere League soccer games. The first is on Feb. 24 at 8:50 AM ET with Manchester United vs. Liverpool (Ch. 106). The next match in 4k is on Feb. 27 at 2:45 PM ET with Chelsea vs. Tottenham (Ch. 106).
