In terms of broadcast television 4k still has a long way to go, but if you look hard enough there are some upcoming live sports events that are must-watch.
DirecTV has three 4k channels to choose from. The first is DTV4k (Ch. 104) with free TV shows such as Art Beats, Titans of the Ice Age, and Not Bad.
DirecTV also has an On Demand 4k channel called CINE4K (Ch. 105) that has recent titles such as White Boy Rick, Venom, The Equalizer 2, The Matrix, and Ready Player One.
But our favorite 4k channel, the one that doesn’t get that much action, is LIVE4k (Ch. 106) with sporting events in Ultra HD resolution.
Coming soon in January are NBA games, English Premiere League Soccer, and NCAA Men’s College Basketball. Check the schedule below and be sure to tune-in at game time or set the Record button for viewing later.
