Steven Spielberg’s 7x Oscar-winning film Schindler’s List has been restored to 4k for a new Ultra HD Blu-ray release of the film. Spielberg himself supervised the new transfer that features Dolby Vision/HDR10 and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack backed by 24-bit Dolby TrueHD 7.1. The audio is also available in French and Spanish DTS 5.1 with subtitles in English SDH, French, and Spanish.
The 4k disc release, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the film, also includes the new bonus content “Schindler’s List: 25 Years Later” and “USC Shoah Foundation Story with Steven Spielberg (2018),” as well the previously-released feature-length documentary “Voices from the List” and “Let Their Testimonies Speak – Stronger Than Hate” all on Blu-ray (not 4k).
The Schindler’s List 3-disc edition from Universal releases on December 18th with a list price of $29.99. It includes a 4k Blu-ray, Blu-ray and Digital copy of the film. Schindler’s List is currently available to pre-order from Amazon for $21.74. A new 1080p Blu-ray edition (List: $19.99) will also be released simultaneously with the Ultra HD Blu-ray.
The re-release of Schindler’s List to disc coincides with a limited theatrical showing of the film on Dec. 7th in 4k and Dolby Cinema technology (see the trailer below).
