One of the more popular streaming services for students is Spotify Premium which provides access to millions of songs without advertisements. About a year ago, Spotify added Hulu to to their premium plan as a value-add. And, although the Hulu service is the limited commercial plan (which is a few bucks cheaper than the commercial-free plan) the partnership was hugely successful.
Today, Spotify has added even more value to their premium subscriptions for students. Showtime, a service that would normally cost an additional $10.99 for Hulu subscribers, is now part of the special Spotify Premium plan. That means subscribers, in addition to Hulu programming, can watch Showtime Originals such as Homeland, Ray Donovan and Shameless.
In effect, enrolled students (who get their email accounts verified) can now get all three premium services for only $4.99 per month with no contract. And, the Spotify special only costs .99 cents for the first three months.
Since Spotify Premium is normally $9.99 per month, the Hulu Limited Commercials plan $7.99 per month, and Showtime $8.99 per month (with Hulu), the student discount saves about $22 per month.
Damn, wish I was still in school. Jump over to Spotify to check it out.
