Apple once again offers 4k where others don’t. You can’t purchase the bio/drama Battle of the Sexes on Ultra HD Blu-ray or in 4k from any other digital movie services, but iTunes has got the film on sale today only for $7.99 — a $7 discount off the regular price of $14.99.
The digital edition includes iTunes Extras with featurettes that explore the making of the film, introductions to the cast, and interview with Billie Jean King. The iTunes version also includes Closed Captioning (CC) and Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH).
Battle of the Sexes is presented in 2160p at widescreen aspect ratio with a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. The 4k version does not include HDR (High Dynamic Range) for improved color depth — a feature available with the majority of Apple 4k titles.
Starring Emma Stone and Steve Carell, Battle of the Sexes tells the story of world-class tennis stars Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris from the script written by Simon Beaufoy, the film was nominated for 2 Golden Globes including Best Performances by Steve Carell and Emma Stone.
