Want to know what’s new on disc and digital this week? Here are our highlights on Blu-ray and Digital HD.
On disc, Annihilation is our top pick of the week releasing to Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray and DVD. The Blu-ray combo editions include plenty of extra bonus content with six featurettes providing insight into the making of the film. Annihilation is presented in 1080p (Blu-ray) and 2160p/HDR (Ultra HD Blu-ray) with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Also on Blu-ray, Criterion Collection has released Midnight Cowboy (1969) from a new 4k restoration of the film and Red River (1948) from a 2k restoration of both the director-preferred theatrical version and extended prerelease version. And, Warner Bros. has compiled the DC 5-Film Collection with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Wonder Woman, Man of Steel, and Suicide Squad into one edition.
On Digital this week you can download or stream Disney’s fantasy adventure A Wrinkle in Time starring Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon, Love, Simon starring Nick Robinson, Jennifer Garner, and Unsane from director Steven Soderbergh starring Claire Foy among other early digital releases.
