‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ released to Digital HD/4k, Here’s Where to Buy

But where is the best place to buy the movie in Digital SD, HD or UHD? And, what bonus content is available? Here’s a breakdown of the digital video services where you can get Star Wars: The Last Jedi, what it costs, and what extras might be included.

Availability

Popular services where you can buy Star Wars: The Last Jedi in digital formats include Amazon Video, Apple iTunes, Google Play, FandangoNow, Microsoft Video, Verizon FiOS On Demand, and Vudu. For those of you with Ultra HD TVs, the film is available in Digital UHD (4k) from FandangoNow, Microsoft Video and Vudu.

Bonus Material

Extra content with the digital release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi may include the feature-length documentary “The Director and the Jedi” as well as over two hours of bonus footage with 14 deleted scenes, an exploration of the mythology of the Force, two sequences of Andy Serkis’ on-set performance before his transformation into Snoke, scene breakdowns and movie featurettes. FandangoNow, iTunes, and Vudu seem to have the most extras, with Microsoft offering just one titled extra “New Head of the Resistance.” Movies Anywhere is also offering an exclusive “Score-Only” version of ‘The Last Jedi’ that presents the film as the composer would see it and without dialogue. 4k UHD

FandangoNow, Microsoft Video and Vudu are the only services currently offering Star Wars: The Last Jedi in Digital UHD (4k). Vudu’s specifications include HDR (Dolby Vision/HDR10) that extends the color range on supporting devices (see 4k/HDR supporting devices on Vudu). 4k UHD and HDR formats require a 4k TV and 4k TV with HDR for playback.
