LG Drops Price of two OLED 4k TVs for Black Friday

lg-oled-B7A-netflix-stranger-things-1280pxLG has announced that between Nov. 19 and Nov. 27 they will be dropping the price of two OLED 4k TVs for Black Friday.

The 55” B7A will sell for $1,499, the first time ever an LG OLED model at this size is available for under $1,500. The list price for the 55B7A is $2,299, although it’s currently selling for $1,599 on LG’s website. The Black Friday pricing reflects an $800 distinction from the original MSRP.

The second LG OLED 4k TV mentioned in the Black Friday promotion is the 65” B7A. The larger screen will be selling for $2,299 starting on Nov. 19, which is a $1,000 price break from the MSRP of $3,299. This set currently sells for $2,599 on LG’s website.

Both LG TVs support HDR via HDR10 and Dolby Vision, as well as YouTube VP9 and the new Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) for streaming content and future TV broadcasts with HDR.

By the way, CNET called the B7A the “the best TV picture money can buy,” and we tend to agree after having seen the TVs displaying true 4k/HDR content.
