Netflix has released the official full-length, 2-minute trailer for the second season of their original series The Crown. The season will premiere all ten 52-minutes episodes on Dec. 8, 2017, and like other Netflix series will be available to binge-watch or download to smartphones and tablets. (Netflix does not allow downloading to PCs.)
Like Season 1, the second will be available to stream in 4k video resolution with 5.1-channel Dolby audio on supporting TVs. Here’s an extended list of Netflix titles available in Ultra HD and HDR.
Created by Peter Morgan (The Last King of Scottland), the dramatic series is centered on Queen Elizabeth II — the romances, political environment and challenges she encounters as the young queen.
The series stars Claire Foy (Queen Elizabeth II), Matt Smith (Philip, Duke of Edinburgh), and Victoria Hamilton ( Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother) and John Lithgow (Winston Churchill) among an extensive cast.
The Crown is distributed worldwide by Netflix, produced in association with Left Bank Pictures and Sony Pictures Television Production UK.
