The Walking Dead Season 7 released to Blu-ray Disc and DVD last summer on Aug. 22, but in anticipation of Season 8 (premiering on Oct. 22) fans of the show can order a special limited edition 5-disc set with Spike Walker statue designed by famed comic creator Todd McFarlane.
The Soft Touch Digipak from Lionsgate/Anchor Bay Entertainment features special mechanics with one of the chest spikes so that collectors have to remove it and “drive it back into the sculpture” to release the Blu-ray box underneath.
The collector’s edition includes plenty of extras such as deleted and alternate scenes, audio commentaries, and nine featurettes, as well as Digital HD copies of each episode.
“I love the fact that seven and half years in, we’re able to come up with stuff that still feels iconic and memorable,” said Walking Dead special effects guru Greg Nicotero.
The special limited edition of The Walking Dead Season 7 has a list price of $174.99 (scroll below for current price from Amazon).
