FOX released the official trailer for The X-Files Season 11 at the New York Comic-Con Convention held over the weekend. The new season starts in 2018 (no exact date yet) with agents Mulder and Scully facing a global threat that has the potential of killing billions of humans.
The 10-episode season is executive-produced by Chris Carter, and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Last year, Season 10 had an estimated viewing audience of 16 million.
The X-Files premiered in September 1993 and was one of the most influencial TV shows in its genre. The series was created by Chris Carter, winning 5 Golden Globes with a #90 rank on IMDB’s Top 250 Rated Shows.
