Sony has launched a promotion where customers who purchased a Sony UBP-X800 or UBP-X1000ES 4K Ultra HD player can get two free 4k Blu-ray discs.
Customers need the product serial number from the Ultra HD Blu-ray player to register and qualify, and a confirmation email will be sent with instructions on how to select two 4k Blu-ray discs.
We don’t have the long list of Ultra HD Blu-ray discs eligible for the offer, but Ghostbusters (2016) and Angry Birds are being used for the marketing materials.
Other Sony Pictures Home Media movies that may be eligible include Hancock, Labyrinth: 30th Anniversary Edition, Pineapple Express, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and Point Break among other previously released titles.
The Sony UBP-X1000ES is a higher-end 4k player that is priced about $600, while the more affordable UBP-X800 sells for about $230. Both support HDR as well as audio formatted in Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Check current pricing from the Amazon grid below.
