One trailer from Comic-Con San Diego we meant to repost was Season 2 of Westworld. Given the short season of Game of Thrones (only 7 episodes) , you can bet on HBO making as big an effort to promote their epic science fiction drama that appears to have plenty of story to tell.
The teasre trailer for Westworld Season 2 is full of surprises including Jeffrey Wright’s character Bernard Lowe starring at a deceased tiger (is it real or synthetic?), what looks to be Clifton Collins Jr.’s character Lawrence hung upside down from a tree, and Dolores Abernathy (played by Evan Rachel Wood) hunting down guests (or hosts we’re not sure) with a shotgun.
Maeve Millay (Thandie Newton), Teddy Flood (James Marsden) and the Man in Black (Ed Harris) are among the other characters returning in the series. But will any of them be killed off this season as was Theresa Cullen (Sidse Babett Knudsen)?
One thing is for sure, Bernard looks to play a major role in what’s to come in Season 2. And, with last season’s reveal it’s bound to get even more complicated.
The season premiere of Westworld Season 2 arrives in 2018, although an exact date has yet be revealed by HBO. [Update: The trailer for Season Two that played during Super Bow LII slates an April 22 premiere date.]
