OK that shot of Arya Stark on horseback is just way too cool. It’s from the official Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer just released today. The one-and-a-half minute video is loaded with battle scenes, indicating what may be the prevailing them of the season: war.
“[There are] enemies to the East, enemies to the West, enemies to the South, enemies to the North. Whatever stands in our way, we will defeat it,” are the words of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) at the beginning of the trailer.
Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), has her own plans for R.R. Martin’s ‘World of Ice and Fire.’ “I was born to rule the seven kingdoms, and I will,” are her fighting words.
Sansa then enters the picture, but Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) speaks for her, as he has done so frequently in the past. “Your father and brothers are gone yet here you stand, last best hope against the coming storm,” he tells her as he stands creepily in the shadows.
The trailer has got so much action jammed in it could pass as a feature movie trailer not a television show. Watch until the end for an epic shot of what appears to be an army of Dothraki on horseback escorted by one of Daenerys’ dragons.
There are also appearances by Melisandre, Jon Snow, Theon and Yara Greyjoy, White Walkers, Stannis Baratheon, and everyone’s favorite Lannister Tyrion.
