Lionsgate’s fantasy/drama The Shack (2017) premiered in US theaters in March, and will release to home media just three months later on Tuesday, May 30. The film stars Sam Worthington, Octavia Spencer and Tim McGraw about a man who receives a mysterious invitation to meet God.
The Shack will be available on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, On Demand, and later in Digital HD on June 13th. The 2-disc Blu-ray edition retails for $39.99 (with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD) and the single-disc DVD for $29.99.
Extra bonus material on both the Blu-ray and DVD editions include the featurettes “Touched by God: A Writer’s Journey” and “Premiere Night: A Blessed Evening” among others, as well as deleted scenes and audio commentary with Director Stuart Hazeldine.
The Shack earned $16M domestically on its opening weekend, with a production budge of approximately $20M. The two-hour, twelve-minute film is rated PG-13 for thematic material including some violence.
