20th Century Fox’s Logan has already earned over $200M at the domestic box office, and is nearing $600M worldwide. Soon, the X-Men spin-off will be available to purchase at home on Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
Both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart confirmed this will be the last time they’ll play the roles of Logan (Wolverine) and Professor X, making this disc release a must-have for any fans of the superhero genre of films.
From what we’ve heard, Logan on 4k Blu-ray will feature HDR (High Dynamic Range) color enhancing the already high-quality, 2160p video resolution that quadruples the pixel count of standard Blu-ray.
Pre-orders of Logan on Blu-ray are selling for $19.99, while the 4k Blu-ray is priced at $24.99. Best Buy is selling SteelBook editions of Logan on both Blu-ray ($21.99) and 4k blu-ray ($26.99). Target is also taking pre-orders for a Blu-ray exclusive ($19.99).
Logan releases to Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, and DVD on May 23, 2017, and one week earlier to Digital HD on May 16, 2017. We don’t have a specific release date yet for Logan to home media, nor do we have official disc packaging, but hopefully FOX will come up with some better artwork than we’ve put together here. FYE in a mall nearby had a sign out in front today saying it’s coming out on Blu-Ray May 23. That’s earlier than I expected.
