This Tuesday, Warner Bros.’ Oscar-winning film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) will release digitally, selling for $19.99 in Digital HD from most services including Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play. Vudu is also selling a 4k UHD version of the film for $29.99 that can be played on compatible devices. The movie will hit stores on Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray and DVD later this month on March 28th.
Passengers is yet another blockbuster film hitting digital first, only the sci-fi romance is just one week away from releasing to Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray, DVD, and rental options. Considering the amount of formats you get with the Blu-ray combo editions (including Digital HD), it’s hard to not to wait the extra week, unless you’ve completely given up on discs. The bonus content provided with some digital purchases of Passengers does make it an easier decision.
And, Live By Night starring Ben Affleck, Elle Fanning and Brendan Gleeson releases to Digital HD. The Prohibition-era drama stars Ben Affleck, Elle Fanning, and Brendan Gleeson, and was directed and written by Affleck based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. The Digital HD copy sells for $14.99.
