Denzel Washington’s ‘Fences’ Releasing to Blu-ray & DVD

fences-blu-ray-600pxDenzel Washington’s Golden Globe-winning film Fences starring Viola Davis will be released to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on March 14, 2017. The film may also be available early on Digital HD, but we don’t have any confirmation of a date yet.

Fences was directed Washington with screenplay written by August Wilson based upon his Pulitzer Prize-winning play titled “Fences.” The story is centered on working-class African-American Troy Maxson (played by Washington) who is trying to raise his family in the 1950’s, all while dealing with events in his own life. Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, and Russell Hornsby also star in the film.

The two-disc Blu-ray combo pack from Paramount Home Media includes both DVD and Digital HD copies. Bonus material and film format to-be-determined.

Pre-orders of Fences on Blu-ray are priced $24.99 (List: $39.99) while the DVD is selling for $19.99 (List: $29.99) at Amazon.
