New On Blu-ray: Blair Witch, Mariah Carey Glitter, Fifty Shades of Grey Unrated, & More

new-blu-ray-jan-3-2017-900x600It’s the first batch of new Blu-ray releases in 2017!

Lionsgate’s Blair Witch (2016) is now available on Blu-ray disc in a 2-disc edition with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy redeemable with iTunes or UltraViolet. Joblo.com calls the film “a truly terrifying cinematic experience,” and now you can watch the 90-minute film at home with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack for $19.99.

In anticipation of the upcoming theatrical release of Fifty Shades Darker comes Fifty Shades of Grey in a new Unrated Edition. The 2-disc edition with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy includes both the theatrical and unrated edition, Fandango Cash for the upcoming film, a 360-degree set tour, and plenty of bonus featurettes for $15.99.

Mariah Carey’s New Years Eve performance didn’t go as she hoped, but maybe the bad publicity will help sell some copies of Glitter on Blu-ray. The 105-minute film stars Carey as aspiring singer Billie Frank trying to find her way in New York City. Why is it in our top picks of the week? Just ’cause. And, it’s only $6.99.

And, this week Universal Studios Home Entertainment is re-releasing several films on Blu-ray Disc that come with Fandango Cash for Fifty Shades Darker. Among those titles is the Golden Globe-nominated Sea of Love (1989) starring Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin, and the 4-time Oscar-nominated Pride & Prejudice (2005) starring Keira Knightley. (See additional titles at bottom of list below.)
