Samsung has introduced a new Ultra HD Blu-ray player that adds Bluetooth connectivity to headphones, finally. Called “Private Cinema Mode,” the new feature will be available with Samsung’s M9500 UHD Blu-ray Player to be shown at CES 2017.
Along with Bluetooth wireless streaming and Samsung Smart Remote integration across the UHD ecosystem, the HDR-optimized player is also supposed to make playing Ultra HD Blu-ray discs on 4k and HDR TVs easier.
Although we’re not sure how many or which devices Samsung’s new video and audio “optimization” will be compatible with, the player analyzes content encoded with technology such as HDR, Atmos or DTS-X for optimal display and sound output.
The M9500 also supports viewing of 360-degree photos and videos on any TV via a compatible mobile device. And, the M9500 will also allow playing Blu-ray titles on mobile devices (again, no details were provided as to brands, models, operating systems).
Samsung also announced the MS750 Soundbar, the first to embed subwoofer performance directly into the primary unit, and the H7 Wireless Speaker with 32bit sound performance.
