Universal Pictures’ thriller The Girl on the Train will release to Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD on Jan. 17, 2017. The film will likely be available in digital format prior to disc editions [Note: Released on Jan. 3, 2017] , but if you can wait for the packaged media the Blu-ray Disc editions will also include a Digital HD copy redeemable with iTunes or UltraViolet.
The 2-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack of The Girl on the Train includes Blu-ray and DVD copies of the film, while the 4k Combo Pack includes Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. The film is formatted in 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio with an English DTS:X Master Audio soundtrack.
Video resolution on the standard Blu-ray edition is 1080p, while the 4k UHD BD copy of the film is presented in 2160p with High Dynamic Range encoded in HDR10.
Bonus features on all disc formats include deleted and extended scenes, feature commentary with Director Tate Taylor, and featurettes “The Women Behind The Girl” and “On Board The Train.”
