Amazon Studios’ third season of their hit original series Mozart in the Jungle will premiere on Friday, December 9th. Like most series from streaming content providers such as Netflix and Amazon, the entire 10-episode season will be available to binge-watch upon its debut, amounting to about 290 minutes, or, close to 5 hours given the show’s 29-minute episodes.
Mozart in the Jungle was touted as being one of the first series to be offered in 4k with HDR (along with Amazon Studio’s pilot episode of Red Oaks) when Amazon added the video format about a year-and-a-half ago. The new season will join other Amazon original series such as Transparent and Bosch that also stream in 4k with HDR.
In Season 3, Gael García Bernal, Lola Kirke, and Bernadette Peters are among the returning actors. But look for Italian actress Monica Bellucci who plays opera sensation Alessandra in five episodes this coming season.
