20th Century Fox’s Ice Age: Collision Course has been released to several disc formats including DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, and 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray. The film, now the fifth title in the Ice Age franchise, was released early to Digital HD on September 30th. But the disc releases of Ice Age: Collision Course include plenty of extras that many waited for, including the “Scrat: Spaced Out Mini-Movie.”
Video on the 2-disc Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D editions is presented in 1080p at 16:9 widescreen (2.40:1). The 2-disc UHD BD shares the same aspect ratio but improves the Full HD resolution to 4k 2160p.
Audio on the Blu-ray editions plays in English DTS-HD-MA 7.1, while the Ultra HD Blu-ray edition features English audio in the immersive Dolby Atmos format. On both editions the soundtrack can be played in Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital or French 5.1 in DTS.
Bonus material on the Blu-ray with DVD includes seven featurettes and a gallery of 12 images. The UHD BD release also includes an additional piece of content called “Scrat: Spaced Out Mini-Movie.”
