The premium movie service STARZ has launched an app channel for Microsoft’s Xbox One, and that means subscribers can now watch Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens through the console. STARZ began broadcasting the film on September 10 both on traditional cable and satellite TV as well as internet-connected devices.
Other STARZ programming includes the series “Outlander,” “Power,” and “Black Sails,” as well as upcoming season two premieres of “Blunt Talk” and “Ash vs Evil Dead.”
STARZ subscriptions cost $8.99 per month (with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers) and can be purchased directly through the App Store, Google Play or Roku. On Xbox, a free Xbox Live membership is also required.
The STARZ app is also available on Apple TV (4th gen and newer), iPhones and iPads running iOS 8.0 or higher, Roku, Sony Android TV, and most Android phones, tablets and TV devices.
