The sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones has been released to Digital SD/HD, so we thought we’d let you know where to get it and what bonus materials are included. Season 6 is $38.99 (HD) or $28.99 (SD) across the board, with the exception of CinemaNow where it’s a buck more for either format.
What about waiting for the Blu-ray/DVD editions? Don’t hold your breath. If the disc release date of Game of Thrones: Season 5 is any indication of when the Blu-ray might be available, Season 6 will likely hit shelves sometime in March, 2017. [Updated: HBO officially announced a Nov. 15th, 2016 release date for Blu-ray & DVD.]
But if you want the best of both worlds Vudu and Walmart offer a combined deal for the Blu-ray (with HDX digital copies) or DVD (with SD digital copies) for $34.96 or $39.99, respectively. You’ll have to wait for the discs to be released, but the digital copies can be watched instantly.
