At Day 1 of the Star Wars Celebration in Europe guests and those who were live-streaming the event got to see some exclusive new footage of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In fact, attendees were asked to put away their recording devices while the video was shown. But the Star Wars channel on YouTube uploaded the three-minute teaser shortly after. The video can be streamed in Full HD (1080p) or HD (720p) resolution.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is slated to release to theaters in the US on December 16th, 2016, filling the one-year gap between Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the not-yet-named Star Wars: Episode VIII scheduled for release in December, 2017.
The film was directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Ben Mendelsohn, Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Riz Ahmed, Forest Whitaker, and James Earl Jones.
