Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the home media release dates for The Darkness starring Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell. The film will first be available in Digital HD on August 23rd, followed Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand on September 6th, 2016.
On Blu-ray, The Darkness is formatted in 1080p with a 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio. Audio is offered in English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and DVS Dolby Digital 2.0. Spanish and French audio is available in DTS Digital Surround 5.1
The 1-disc Blu-ray edition (SRP $29.99) comes with redemption codes for Digital HD copies from UltraViolet partners or Apple iTunes.
The Blu-ray and DVD editions of The Darkness also pack exclusive bonus content including a never-before-seen alternate ending and deleted scenes.
