Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the first official trailer for the upcoming thriller Inferno starring Tom Hanks and Felicity Jones. In the film, Hanks returns as religious symbology expert Robert Langdon who finds clues to the mystery of Dante. Along with Dr. Sienna Brooks (played by Jones), Langdon races to stop a deadly plot.
Inferno is based on the book of the same name by Dan Brown, the famed author also wrote the novels Angels & Demons (2009) and The Da Vinci Code (2003) — both of which were brought the big screen.
Oscar-winner Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind) returns to the franchise to direct Inferno, with screenplay written by David Koepp (Angels & Demons).
Inferno will debut in theaters on October 28th, 2016.
