The TED app for Android devices has been redesigned and rebuilt with several improvements from the developers at TED Conferences LLC. First, TED (Version 3.0.0) features a new design with easier-to-use navigation and interface design. Second, the devs added a new option to browse curated playlists by topic, making it easier to find the TED talks you’re most interested in.
But perhaps the most value in the update can be found in the addition of TED Radio Hour, a podcast hosted by Guy Raz that’s a co-production with NPR. Shows are centered on themes like crowd-sourcing innovation, hacking, design, and the source of happiness, among other contemporary topics.
There’s also a new Feedback option that can be found in the Settings menu where you can let the team know what you think about the update.
TED Version 3.0.0 for Android requires OS 4.1 or higher, and is a fairly lightweight app at only 14MB.
