“Delivering the best TV experience for our viewers means being on the devices people want to use — Apple TV is our most requested platform, and we’re excited to finally bring Sling TV to Apple TV today,” said Roger Lynch, CEO of Sling TV.
The launch on Apple TV features a new user experience for the Sling TV app with more customizable options and personalization. The new UI will be delivered in phases with the first including a feature called “My TV” with one-click access and the ability to resume select programs after watching partially.
In addition to the launch on Apple TV, Sling TV announced 12 new channels from Viacom including Comedy Central, BET, Spike, MTV. The channels are available across Sling TV’s beta multi-stream and single-stream services.
Basic Sling TV service starts at $20 per month with no long term contract, with Sling Latino and Sling International packages available.
