Sling TV announced a deal with Viacom that adds 12 new channels to the streaming platform. Those channels include Comedy Central, BET, Nick Jr., NickToons, TeenNick, MTV, Spike, MTV2, LOGO, CMT, TV Land and VH1.
The new channels are available in a variety of add-on packages that cost an extra $5 per month, as well as the single-stream core package “Best of Live TV” that added live and on-demand content from Comedy Central, and the multi-stream “Best of Live TV – Beta” package that adds live and on-demand content from Comedy Central, Nick Jr. and BET.
New channels were also added to the “Kids Extra” package for the single-stream service including Nick Jr., NickToons, and TeenNick that join Disney Jr., Disney XD, Boomerang, Baby TV and Duck TV.
At Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, the streaming service also announced the launch of Sling TV for the fourth-generation Apple TV, with a new user experience design being delivered in phases.
