Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi has just been released to Digital HD, three weeks ahead of the Blu-ray, DVD, and rental options on June 7th, 2016. The Digital HD purchase from many services includes some bonus content such as the 27-minute “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi: Preparing For Battle” or the 3-minute “The Men Who Lived.”
iTunes seems to offer the most bonus content with five different featurettes including the 27-minute “Preparing For Battle,” the 8-minute “For the Record: Finding the Truth Amid the Noise,” and 27-minute “Uncovering Benghazi.”
13 Hours in Digital HD is $14.99 from most sellers (a typical price for new titles), but what’s not so typical about this release is the Digital SD is an option for $12.99. If you’ve got an HDTV however, the extra $2 for HD resolution is money well spent.
