Last night’s Dodger upset in Chavez Ravine has finalized the teams and schedule for the National League Championship Series. The game, narrowly decided by Daniel Murphy’s solo home run, was one for the ages as each team only recorded one error amidst a roaring Los Angeles crowd.
New York’s Jacob deGrom threw for 6 innings and allowed 6 hits, while LA’s Zack Greinke through for 6.2 innings also giving up 6 hits. But it was Murphy’s .333 batting, two RBIs and solo home run that gave the Mets the edge.
Game 1 of the NLCS begins Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time when the Chicago Cubs will visit the New York Mets at Citi Field. The entire series will be broadcast on TBS, so be sure to tune-in to the high-definition feed! (Call your TV provider if you can’t get TBS in HD.)
We’re headed for some great MLB Championship series, and it starts tonight with the Toronto at Kansas City at 7:30pm Eastern Time.
