The STARZ PLAY app is now available to Samsung Smart TV owners, giving subscribers on-demand access to internet-delivered Starz original programming such as “Survivor’s Remorse,” “Power,” and the brand new series “Blunt Talk” starring Patrick Stewart, as well as a lineup of movies that currently includes hits like “McFarland USA,” “Still Alice,” and Disney’s “Into the Woods.”
Like most premium services, the STARZ PLAY app must be authenticated to access Starz content by providing the username and password associated with a TV service provider.
The app is available in the Samsung App store via the Smart Hub on select Smart TVs from Samsung’s 2014 and 2015 models.
In addition to the launch for Samsung Smart TVs, the STARZ PLAY app is already available on Roku, Amazon Fire TV & Fire TV Stick, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Chromecast. On PCs, the service can be accessed via internet browsers. And, the app is available for mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and select Android phones and tablets.
Other supporting devices include Fire HD tablets, NOOK HD, NOOK HD+ and select Google Nexus devices (Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10).
