If you want to know which TV series and episodes are the most watched, Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand is a good measure of what’s currently the most popular. The cable TV provider released a Top 20 list from the week of August 3rd through August 9th of episodes on Xfinity On Demand that aired live or on Xfinity On Demand.
In the number one position was Starz’s “Power” starring Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, and 50 Cent. The series just wrapped up its second season, and will return for a third season in June, 2016.
Second in On Demand viewings was “Ballers” starring Dwayne Johnson as former athlete turned financial manager Spencer Strasmore. The series completes its first season on August 23rd with the tenth episode titled “Flamingos.”
And, third in viewings was the season two finale of HBO’s “True Detective.” The series, created by Nic Pizzolatto, stars Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell, and Rachel McAdams. The series was nominated for 4 Golden Globe awards including “Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.”
