Showtime announced today renewal of both Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex for their fourth seasons. Like previous seasons, the original series will each return with twelve 60-minute episodes that are slated for 2016.
Ray Donovan first aired in June, 2013 and has been nominated for 4 Golden Globes including a win for Jon Voight in “Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series.” The series stars Liev Schreiber as professional “fixer” Ray Donovan who caters to the rich and famous in Los Angeles.
Masters of Sex premiered in September, 2013 and has been nominated for 2 Golden Globe awards. The series stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as the pioneering sex research team of Dr. William Masters and Virginia E. Johnson.
“Both Ray Donovan and Masters Of Sex are signature series for Showtime,” said David Nevins, president of Showtime. He added, “they are emblematic of what Showtime stands for – quality, premium programming that you cannot find anywhere else on television.”
