When Sony announced their lineup of 2015 4k Ultra HD TVs they were lacking prices and ship dates for both the X900C and X910C series. We know more about the X900C product line now, including availability starting in July. Sony also revealed pricing. The X900C series consists of two models: a 55″ class (54.6″ diag.) and 65″ class (64.5″ diag.); priced at $2,499 and $3,999, respectively. At only 0.2-inches (its thinnest point), these are Sony’s lowest profile models yet.
The X910C series will be a bit more expensive than the X900C series. Only available in a 75″ class (74.5″ diag.) upon launch, the X900C will list-price for $5,499. An exact ship date hasn’t been revealed, however, only that the 4k TV will be available sometime “this summer.” Sony claims the X910C is the thinnest TV of its size ever made.
Features of the X900C and X910C series include the X-Reality PRO Picture Engine for upscaling content to 4k, Trilumious color, and Smart TV capabilities with Android TV (including features like Google Cast and voice search). In addition, all of the 2015 4k Ultra HD TVs are powered by Sony’s new 4K Processor X1.
