NHL apps updated for Stanley Cup Playoffs

Round 1 of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs are underway, and just in time NHL Interactive has rolled out updated NHL apps for both Android and iOS devices. The apps are free to download from Google Play and Apple iTunes, and among other features let users view in-game video highlights and listen to live game audio.

For both platforms, the updated apps have improved linking to NBC and NBCSN national games (within the US), and added bigger player headshots in the stats section. The app updates also fix several bugs specific to the platform.

For Android devices, the NHL app update (Version 5.0413) adds support for higher resolution devices, and fixes bugs with the date navigation on the schedule page, as well as within notification deliveries. The app requires Android Version 4.0 or higher.

On iOS devices, the updated app (Version 5.1) adds support for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. The app requires iOS Version 6.0 or later.
